Edwina Tops-Alexander

Edwina Tops-Alexander grew up in Sydney, Australia with many different animals. Her first contact with horses was when she was three years old; she used to visit a farm every weekend. Little did she know that this early fascination with horses would eventually lead to her becoming one of the most accomplished show jumpers in the world.

In 1998, Edwina decided to move halfway around the world to Europe to further her career and take the opportunity to compete against world-class riders. Throughout her career, Edwina Tops-Alexander has achieved remarkable success in the world of show jumping. Her list of accomplishments includes impressive feats such as winning the Longines Global Champions Tour Championship twice, winning the prestigious Prague Super Grand Prix, and cliched a 4th place at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen. Edwina’s goals moving forward are to win an Olympic medal and another LGCT Championship.

Edwina’s journey to success was made possible by hard work and perseverance. When passing on valuable advice to aspiring riders, she emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and encouraging riders to draw inspiration from everyone they encounter along their equestrian journey. Maintaining a positive mindset and refusing to give up, even in the face of challenges, is a mantra that has guided her throughout her career.
