What is a halter?
A halter is a gear made of textile or leather that is put on the horses’ head.
It is used, among other things, to lead the horse to the paddock or to tie up in the stable, the aisle or during transport.
The halter is pulled over the back of the nose and ears and is often attached with a buckle to the horse's muzzle.
Always use a gentle halter that does not cause chafing as the horse's muzzle is sensitive.
Halters can be made of fabric, rope, or leather and can also be padded with different materials to help minimize chafing.

What is a secure halter?

Halter
Using a measuring tape, measure your horse's head and compare with the size chart below to determine the best size for your horse. Please note that the measurements below are product measurements and should be seen as a guide to finding the right size. The measurements of the head piece and the nose circumference are taken when closed on the middle hole. You can make it tighter or looser by approx. 3 cm / 2". Please note the measurements below are estimates only. Every horse is unique.
A: HEAD PIECE
The measuring starting point should be aligned with horse´s eye, up and behind the ears, down and aligned with horse´s other eye.
B: NOSE CIRCUMFERENCE Measure around the nose, approx 2 fingers under the cheekbone.
C: CHEEK
Measure from approx. 2 fingers under the cheekbone to the back of the horse´s cheek.

Equestrian Stockholm strives to dispatch orders in the fastest possible time (within 24 hours during Business days) and in the order in which they are placed. Before you place your order, you will be informed of the expected delivery details. Once you have placed your order you will receive an email confirmation with your expected delivery details. Orders may be delivered within 1-6 Business days. “Business days” in this sense refer to Monday-Friday. Deliveries are also made on Saturdays in most of EU.
The delivery charge for each order will be the same, regardless of the size or weight of your order. The cost for delivery is clearly indicated during the check-out process. If the package is not collected upon delivery, we will charge you for upcoming costs.
Economy shipping costs are outlined below (which is converted to local currency when possible). Free shipping is available to most destinations at a certain order value. Express shipping options are also available for the fastest possible delivery.
